Director of SALUS and Organizational Strategy
Treemonisha Smith is the Director of SALUS and Organizational Strategy at the HSA Council (HSAC), where she leads the ongoing development and expansion of SALUS and contributes to the overall organizational strategy of HSAC.
Prior to joining HSAC, Treemonisha served as Assistant Director of Emergency Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she led the Institute’s emergency planning strategy and created the prepareGT outreach campaign. She also developed operations plans for campus special events, including the governor’s inauguration, Major League Soccer matches, NCAA Division 1 football, and Super Bowl LIII sponsored events. Additionally, Treemonisha has held positions at the University of California Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, and the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department.
Treemonisha is a native of Houston, TX. She earned her Master of Science in Biosecurity and Disaster Preparedness from Saint Louis University and Bachelor of Science in Community Health Science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
