Laura Hartigan is President of The Laura Hartigan Group, LLC, a Los Angeles-based consulting firm that specializes in providing strategic advice to a select group of clients. Laura brings thirty years of experience in both the public and private sectors to benefit her clients. She applies her relentless energy, her expert knowledge, and her unique experience as a senior fundraiser, foundation advisor, and government relations’ specialist to help her clients succeed.
Before starting her own firm in 1997, Laura was the National Finance Director for the 1996 Clinton/Gore Presidential Reelection Campaign. Under her leadership and in record time, her staff of forty people raised an unprecedented $42 million. Prior to her tenure at the Reelection Campaign, Laura served as National Finance Director for the Democratic National Committee and Midwest Finance Director for the 1992 Clinton/Gore Presidential Campaign. In the intervening years, she managed the philanthropic and political activities for Haim and Cheryl Saban, the single largest fundraisers and donors to the Democratic Party and to both Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaigns over the last twenty years. She currently advises several organizations such as the Democratic Governor’s Association, the United State of Women Summit, Pritzker for Governor, and the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
Laura also helped to create the Saban Family Foundation and served as its leader for twenty-one years. Throughout this period, the foundation made grants of over $400MM, globally. She was instrumental in creating The Saban Center for Middle East Peace Policy at The Brookings Institute. Laura is particularly proud of the work she led in the Los Angeles community, including the Saban Research Institute at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles; the Saban Community Clinic (formerly the Los Angeles Community Free Clinic); the Saban Theatre; the Saban Wellness Center at the Motion Picture Television Fund; and the Cheryl Saban Self-Worth Foundation for Women & Girls.
Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgetown University.
