Carlos Reyes-Andrade is the GIS Analyst for SALUS at the Los Angeles Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). As the GIS Analyst, he is responsible for managing SALUS, HSAC’s ArcGIS Online platform, which supports crisis and event management objectives of crisis managers and public safety personnel. In coordination with the SALUS management team, he is responsible for creating and maintaining SALUS mapping and data configuration tools. Previously, Carlos was an intern at HSAC, providing GIS support for SALUS and assisting in various HSAC related events.
Prior to coming to HSAC, Carlos worked at The Walt Disney Company’s Global Security Communications Center (GSCC), where he was exposed to the field of global security and crisis management. At the GSCC, he was responsible for various mapping projects such as mapping fixed and temporary Disney assets around the world. Additionally, he gained applicable knowledge in 24/7 global monitoring and tactical threat analysis for a global company.
Carlos earned his Bachelor of Arts in Geography at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science (M.Sc. GIS) at CSUN as well.
