Ahee Han is the Associate Director of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), where she leads the SALUS program implementation for government and non-government agencies in the greater Los Angeles region. In her capacity, Ahee coordinates with SALUS end-users and HSAC partners to ensure successful implementation of evolving technology and programs that will augment the capabilities of the Los Angeles region’s first responders.
Prior to joining HSAC, Ahee served as a Policy Director for the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. In this role, she liaised between the Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department. Ahee helped create strategies to build resilient communities through disaster preparedness and recovery, leadership, and engagement. Ahee also managed grant projects that were funded by the Urban Areas Security Initiative Program, including multi-million dollar interoperability projects for the Los Angeles Region, intended to enhance voice and data communications among first responders by 2021.
Ahee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Public Policy from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California.
